The relationship between Brittany Renner and Kevin Gates once surprised the public when they confirmed their romance in April. However, after just 52 days of marriage, Brittany Renner has officially announced their separation.

In an open conversation with Real 92.3 LA radio in Los Angeles, Renner candidly shared about her relationship with the Baton Rouge rapper as they prepared for the BET Awards on June 9. “We got married on April 6 and divorced on May 28,” Renner revealed, adding that the legal process is not yet finalized. “According to Islam, there is a 90-day waiting period to see if the wife is pregnant, because if she is, the husband will take responsibility. This period is also meant for reconciliation, as Allah wishes for couples to maintain their marriages. During these 90 days, you are not allowed to welcome anyone else romantically.”

As a recent convert to Islam, Renner confided that her faith has brought her a sense of peace amid life’s turbulence. “I don’t think anyone gets married without hoping to preserve happiness. The most important thing for me right now is to dedicate these 90 days to reflect on myself, take care of myself, and find balance again.”

Renner affirmed that she has no regrets about this high-profile relationship, as every decision was made from the heart. “I followed my heart—something not everyone in this world dares to do. When you truly listen to your heart, you gain all the clarity you need and leave nothing to regret,” she shared. “Many people, whether dating or married, often hold back and don’t give their all. But I believe that when you give 100%, you can find peace with whatever happens, because you know you lived fully for that love.”
